The Town of Cary has purchased a former movie theater which it plans to convert the building into a multi-use cultural facility. The 7,500 sqft building on East Chatham was once the site of the town’s first indoor movie theater. They expect to spend $1 million on renovations. When the building is complete it will serve as a large part of the downtown revitalization project the city is undertaking, they plan to host movies and live performances here.
